Weekly Program Details
🍳 Food Preparation
Typical Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Licensed commercial kitchen in Oakland
Volunteers may assist with meal preparation, packaging, kitchen organization, and support tasks under supervised guidance.
🍽️ Food Distribution
Typical Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Locations: San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley
Meals and water are distributed through organized community outreach with volunteer coordination and safety awareness.
Volunteers may join one or more shifts depending on availability and event needs.

What is RFF Community Impact?
RFF Community Impact is an initiative under M.O.A.T. — Movement of Active Transformation — created to bring people together through advocacy, partnership, collaboration, and volunteer service.
Is this a one-time or recurring program?
It is a recurring community outreach program with weekly opportunities for food preparation, distribution, and volunteer service.
How many volunteers can participate?
Volunteer capacity depends on each event. We can coordinate individuals, families, youth groups, schools, companies, churches, and community groups.
Can volunteers choose their shift?
Yes. Volunteers may choose kitchen preparation, distribution, setup, cleanup, or general event support depending on availability and event needs.
Can youth or groups volunteer?
Yes. Youth volunteers ages 13–18 may participate with parent or guardian consent. Groups may submit a group volunteer request through our Volunteer Center.
Safety & Requirements
Volunteer safety, food safety, and organized coordination are important parts of our program.

Structured volunteer roles, onsite coordination, safety awareness, and supervised event support.
🍽️ Food Handler Certificate
May be required for food preparation or food handling roles. Other volunteer roles may not require certification.
📋 Training Support
RFF provides guidance, coordination, and support so volunteers understand their assigned duties.
