Terms & Privacy
Terms of participation, website use, privacy practices, and data-handling standards for volunteers, participants, partners, supporters, donors, subscribers, and affiliated organizations engaging with RFF.
Overview
By accessing the RFF website, volunteering, donating, partnering, subscribing to communications, attending an event, participating in a program, or otherwise engaging with Restoration For The Future Foundation, you acknowledge these Terms & Privacy provisions and agree to follow applicable RFF policies.
These provisions are intended to promote safety, accountability, integrity, responsible use of information, and alignment with RFF’s charitable mission.
Terms of Participation & Website Use
Everyone representing, supporting, or participating with RFF is expected to follow these standards.
Voluntary Engagement
Unless a separate written employment or contractual agreement exists, participation with RFF is voluntary and does not by itself create an employment, agency, joint venture, partnership, or contractor relationship.
Ethical Conduct
Participants must act with integrity, respect, inclusivity, professionalism, compassion, and appropriate consideration for community members, volunteers, partners, donors, staff, and beneficiaries.
Legal Compliance
Everyone participating in RFF activities must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, permits, safety requirements, venue rules, and lawful instructions.
Safety and Instructions
Participants must follow safety instructions provided by RFF, event coordinators, property owners, government agencies, venue personnel, and emergency responders.
Photos and Media
Photos, videos, testimonials, and event content must be captured and published in accordance with RFF policies, consent requirements, and applicable privacy laws.
Intellectual Property
RFF names, logos, program materials, photographs, documents, designs, graphics, videos, and other organizational content may not be copied, modified, falsely represented, or used commercially without authorization.
Suspension or Termination
RFF may restrict, suspend, or end participation when conduct creates a safety concern, violates policy, harms the organization or community, involves fraud or abuse, or conflicts with RFF’s mission.
Risk and Liability
Participation may involve ordinary risks associated with community events, travel, food service, lifting, outdoor activity, and public interaction. Participants are responsible for following safety guidance and exercising reasonable care.
Donations and Contributions
Donations support RFF’s charitable programs and operations. Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, donations are generally nonrefundable once processed.
Partners and Affiliates
A public partner listing does not automatically create a legal partnership, agency, joint venture, or endorsement. Third-party organizations remain responsible for their own services, policies, conduct, and representations.
Third-Party Services
RFF may use third-party platforms for payments, registrations, email, analytics, social media, fundraising, maps, video, forms, or event management. Those services may have separate terms and privacy policies.
Changes to These Terms
RFF may revise these provisions when programs, policies, technologies, laws, or operational requirements change. Updated provisions become effective when published unless otherwise stated.
How RFF Handles Personal Information
RFF seeks to collect and use only the information reasonably needed to operate its charitable programs, communications, and services.
Information We May Collect
Depending on how you interact with RFF, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, mailing information, volunteer details, event registrations, partner information, donation-related information, newsletter subscriptions, contact-form messages, and program participation information.
Forms and Registrations
Information submitted through volunteer applications, contact forms, newsletter forms, partnership inquiries, donation forms, event registrations, or other RFF forms may be stored and used to respond to or administer your request.
Newsletter and Email
If you subscribe to RFF updates, we may send volunteer opportunities, program updates, community stories, fundraising campaigns, news, and other mission-related communications. You may unsubscribe using the option provided in those emails.
Manually Added Subscribers
RFF administrators may add an email address to the newsletter system when there is an appropriate basis for doing so, including consent or an existing relationship. Recipients may unsubscribe at any time.
Payment Information
Donations or payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. RFF may receive transaction details such as donor name, email address, amount, transaction status, reference, and date, while full payment-card information may be handled directly by the payment processor.
Cookies and Analytics
RFF may use cookies, analytics technologies, tags, and similar tools to understand website use, improve performance, measure outreach, and improve the visitor experience. Visitors may be able to restrict cookies through browser or device settings.
Google Analytics and Ads
RFF may use Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement tools, Google tags, and similar services to measure website activity, contact-form submissions, newsletter signups, volunteer interest, donation-related activity, and campaign performance.
Contact and Chat Information
If you contact RFF through website chat, email, telephone, contact forms, or similar channels, we may retain information reasonably necessary to respond and maintain appropriate organizational records.
How We Use Information
RFF may use information to operate programs, coordinate volunteers, process donations, manage events, communicate with supporters, maintain partnerships, improve the website, prevent misuse, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.
When Information May Be Shared
Information may be shared when reasonably necessary with service providers, payment processors, email-delivery providers, technology providers, event or program partners, professional advisors, or authorities when legally required.
Children and Minors
Where required, RFF seeks appropriate authorization from a parent, guardian, school, partner organization, or other authorized adult before collecting or publicly using identifying information about a minor.
Data Security
RFF uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information under its control. However, no website, electronic communication, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data Retention
RFF may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate programs, maintain nonprofit, donor, volunteer, accounting, tax, legal, security, and organizational records, or satisfy other legitimate requirements.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on applicable law and the nature of the information, you may contact RFF to request corrections, updates, removal from newsletter communications, information about data held by RFF, or deletion where legally and operationally appropriate.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Confidential, personal, donor, beneficiary, volunteer, operational, financial, partner, or organizational information must not be improperly accessed, copied, disclosed, published, or used without authorization.
No Sale of Personal Information
RFF does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Information may still be shared with service providers and other parties when reasonably necessary to operate RFF programs and services.
Acknowledgment
By continuing to access the RFF website or participate in RFF programs, events, volunteer activities, partnerships, donations, communications, or other initiatives, you acknowledge that you have reviewed these Terms & Privacy provisions and agree to comply with applicable RFF policies and standards.
Commitment to Integrity & Privacy
RFF is committed to operating responsibly, respecting personal information, and protecting the communities, volunteers, partners, donors, supporters, subscribers, and organizations involved in our work.
